Yael loved the desert very much and before her military service she did a year of service in the “Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel” in Mitzpe Ramon. She was loved by everyone and was known for her big heart, maturity, and genuine kindness. Yael served as a ground intelligence gathering controller in the 414th Battalion of the Border Protection Corps.
She loved to embroider and in the last year of her life embroidered on army card holders of her friends. If you see a soldier that has one with a butterfly or flowers on it, you will know that they are a friend of Yael. Yael was murdered on the horrific and tragic Saturday of October 7th, 2023, in the battle at the Nahal Oz outpost. She was 20 years old when killed.
